2 There are many opportunities available for students to go to college. Dual Enrollment + Scholarships + Other Options (see page 20 in your 2014-15 CTAE Booklet: Post-Secondary Options)

3 DUAL ENROLLMENT Dual enrollment is for any eligible 11th or 12th (in some limited cases 9 th & 10 th) grade students. Students may enroll full-time or part-time in approved credit bearing college level courses which must count toward state and/or local high school graduation requirements.

4 You go to ONE class and get high school graduation credit AND college credit for that course!! This saves you TIME and MONEY!! Simply said...

5 SO… If I’m not eligible for DE until 11 th grade, why are you telling me now? YOU MUST MEET COLLEGE ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

6 There are many Dual Enrollment classes that meet at The Academy of Advanced Studies. You will need to fill out registration forms to be admitted to AAS.

7 That sounds like a win-win! What do I need to do now?

8 1. Think about your academic and career goals.

9 2. Discuss your goals with your family and decide if Dual Enrollment is for you!

10 3. Look at Dual Enrollment opportunities at www.henry.k12.ga.us/aas

11 4. MEET WITH YOUR GUIDANCE COUNSELOR! He/she can help you make informed decisions!

12 Please look at your Dual Enrollment brochure your teacher has given you. Read the 3 student stories and how they were able to graduate from high school with college credits!
