2 About Coastline ROP Coastline ROP is a career and technical education (CTE) provider that prepares both high school students and adults for a wide range of careers and further educational opportunities. Video

4 Why take an ROP class? Earn grades and credits toward high school graduation Enroll in classes that satisfy A-G requirements for UC and CSU Gain experience required for immediate employment Participate in courses that offer internships (if you are at least 16 years of age) Experience careers that may assist in choosing college majors Courses are FREE for high school students! Experience careers that may assist in choosing college majors and enhance college admission applications How many times on average do students change their majors? Why? First 2 years of college will not provide you with the practical knowledge you’ll need to make an informed decision Courses are free for high school students Standard fee that adults have to pay for these classes is $75 Medical Assistant Back Office-$1500, CNA -1325

High School students register with the ROP career specialist on campus in the college and career center Adults may register in person at the Coastline ROP office

A yellow postcard will be mailed home to you Registered Wait listed notification - Registered Wait listed

9 Job placement? College and Career center will always have job postings, volunteer, and internship opportunities available Coastline ROP Website High School Student Tab Students have a chance of getting hired after an internship Looking for a job?

10 What is an articulation agreement?
Articulation Agreements are formal agreements between two or more schools documenting the transfer policies for a specific academic program or degree in general.
