Vector logos Help Guide

Getting started Open a blank Word document. Get the ‘Drawing’ toolbar on display: Click on View on the toolbar. Select Toolbars. Then click on Drawing.

Inserting clipart Click on Insert on the toolbar. Select Picture. Then choose Clipart. This box will appear. When you find the image you need to right-click on it. Click this button to insert it into Word.

Formatting the image Right-click on your image. Select Format Picture. This box will appear. Click on the Layout tab. Click on Square. Click OK.

Ungrouping the image Right-click on the image. Select Grouping. Then Ungroup. Change colours of the image by clicking on bits and using the colour buttons from the ‘Drawing’ toolbar at the bottom of the screen. When finished, ‘Regroup’ the image.

Adding WordArt Click on this button on the ‘Drawing’ toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Double-click on the style you want. Type your text in. Click OK. Colour it using the colour buttons on the ‘Drawing’ toolbar.

Adding a shape Click on one of the ‘AutoShapes’ on the ‘Drawing’ toolbar. Drag the mouse pointer across the page to produce the shape. Colour it using the colour buttons on the ‘Drawing’ toolbar.

Putting it all together Place your WordArt with the clipart. Then place your shape on – you will need to ‘Send to Back’: Right-click on the shape. Select Order, then Send to Back. Now group all three bits together: Click on this button on the ‘Drawing’ toolbar. Then highlight your logo. Right-click and select Group.
