 Students choose an article about a current event  Due once a month  Instructions and rubric are on the website  Next one due in late October

 “5 in 5” (comp book, pen, pencil, planner, calculator)  Class set of books, no need to schlep books from home  Grading ◦ Assessments30% ◦ Daily Work25% ◦ Labs25% ◦ Notebook15% ◦ Citizenship5%  Late work policy ◦ School policy: no late homework in 8 th grade except for absences, unusual circumstances
