Ancient Japan

Many different ancient civilization exist in the world, such as ancient civilizations of Maya, Egypt, Chine and so on. But my friend and I are most of all interested in the Japan`s ancient civilization, because Japan is an original state.

The history of Japan begins with the Neolithic (in the V-IV millennium B.C). Japan is located in the archipelago. It stretches from north to south along the east coast of the Asian continent. Japan comprises over three thousand island.

The life of Japanese has never been easy. The natural disasters have contributed to the development of courage, patience, poise, skill. These are the main characteristics of Japanese.

Japanese always pages much attention to the area of spiritual life. Religion plays a great role in the life of Japanese both in ancient times and nowadays. Two religions exist in Japan. They are Buddhism and Shintoism. Buddhism and Shintoism always play a distinctive role in Japanese ideological and moral superstructure. These two religions have developed in Japan under Chinese influence, but the ancient Japanese religion Shinto has been original and developed in Japan outside of Chinese influence.

Japanese traditional house very much differs from the European traditional house. Tables and cheirs are placed only in the living room. They are so low, that people sit on their knees. Japanese don`t sleep on beds, they didn`t sleep on pillows.

In the fine art of Japanese people have achieved great skill: in production of paper shapes (origami) and arrangement of flower bouquets (ikebana).

Both men and women in the Japan wear kimonos. But nowadays Japanese wear European closes too.

Japanese appearance differ from European appearance. Japanese are thin and angular. They have in general black hair, narrow eyes, but there are exceptions.

The Japanese of this day have quite calm measured way of life. They are extremely hardworking and devoted to their families. They call their children our little emperors, because they love them very much.

Japanese civilization is not only the oldest, but the most industrial and up-to date one nowadays. Japan occupies one of the first places in the world civilization. Many people dream to see this interesting country and to get acquainted to it`s history and culture more closely. As for us we are looking forward to visit this original and beautiful country in future.
