2 Daily Life for the Poor  Most Egyptians were farmers which meant that they were poor  Children did not have much time for play unlike nowadays  Boys learned their father’s job and girls learned how to take care of the home and family from their mothers

4 Daily Life for the Rich  Men were busy all day trading along the Nile River or being priests  Rich women had many rights like running their own businesses and owning land  Both men and women wore eye make-up made from black ashes  Children had lots of playtime

5 Rich Homes

6 Farming  Most people lived near the Nile River because of the water and crops that were grown along it  The Nile River floods a couple months out of the year which leaves great soil for crops to grow  Planted papyrus right next to the river which was used to make paper
