What is an Action Plan? Lesson 6

What does an Action Plan look like? What Tasks do we need to keep in mind? What Tools do we have at our disposal? We have an example from other Middle School students Video showing the students results Video What do you think is the difference between Direct and Indirect action when it comes to an Action Plan?

Brainstorm Your Idea You need to come up with 3 needs in your community that you are interesting in supporting Write a short paragraph for each Some things to answer Why are you interested in this issue How can you help How can you bring awareness to this subject in your school/city/community?

Share your ideas Now, share your ideas with 3 others Talk about… Feasibility (can you actually do it)? Is that a good choice for the needs of the community? How they will create awareness with it? Any advice you would give to them

Now that we have some ideas… Why Bother? What would happen if we do nothing for the causes we are passionate about? We need to be passionate about our ideas to be invested in it Make sure you pick a topic that you want to make a difference in

Proposal Time Now that you have some ideas and a better understanding of what your Action Plan needs to look like, you need to create a proposal of your idea for your action plan in a paragraph Talking about why you are passionate about it Researching why it is an important idea to look at How you will do it Providing the details of your project Needs to be approved by me
