Technology in Physical Education  Technology is everywhere this century  Students can relate to using it  They will be more excited about class  It can help them be fit

Goals  To help students in physical education become more fit and active.  To get the students to become aware of their daily activities.  To teach the importance of physical education

Zamzee  The Zamzee activity meter  Measures intensity of activity that you perform daily  Clips onto clothes  Hold a charge for two weeks  $29.95  Can be purchased on the Zamzee website

Ipad  Track Zamzee progress online  Activity graph shows your day to day movement  Get points for moving throughout the day  There are also other apps that can be put on  $500  Can be purchased at a Best Buy

The coach’s eye  This app allows you to take pictures and video as your students are performing an activity  You can analyze their movement  Voice overs and drawing on picture  $5.99  Can be purchased from the app store

Cardiograph  To help show the students the health aspect  Place finger over the phone and it measures your heart rate  Since students will be more active using Zamzee  $1.99  Can be purchased from the app store

Treadmill  For any student that needs to put some more activity in their day  Easily accessible  Students can choose to do this instead of what we do in class  $400  Can be purchased at a Target

 The 3 pieces of equipment and 2 pieces of software  Students can learn and become more active  Zamzee will show students how active they are  They can run or walk on treadmill if they need more activity in their day Putting it all together

 The Ipad will provide a camera and accessibility to software  The software that will downloaded on the Ipad will show students how to improve  It will also be easier to teach them about their heart and demonstrate by checking their heart rate  All together, these pieces of technology will help students in physical education class learn, and become more fit.
