 What will my invention do?  Keep the remote in place with Velcro. You can choose your designated place where to put it. (as proven on slide 6) My invention worked when put in a designated place for a certain amount of weeks.  Another function it will perform is it will help get people more organized. Using the tracking app Garmin, it will know where the remote is almost anywhere. So even if you do lose it, you can always check your phone for its location.

I chose this picture because it gave me the idea for where to place the Velcro on the remote. This structure is a very basic idea. It would have a positive impact by keeping the remote from getting lost. http://the-gadgeteer.com/2014/01/23/keep-your-apple-tv- in-place-with-this-holder / I choose this picture because it was organized and that’s what this is invention is all about. I give credit to this invention below because it too was a basic idea with a positive impact. http://www.groupon.ae/deals/national-deal/groupon- direct-165024/6692307

 How much does the average person lose the remote?  http://mommymonologues.hubpages.co m/hub/Top-10-Frequently-Misplaced- Household-Items http://mommymonologues.hubpages.co m/hub/Top-10-Frequently-Misplaced- Household-Items  As seen in the chart, many people lose their remote all the time, and the remote is just one object. Think of all the objects in your house. If you use my invention to track other items in your home, it will make a positive difference.

 Tracking app was “Garmin”  Velcro on one side and sticky on the other.  One piece of Velcro is placed on the battery “door” of the remote.  Another piece of Velcro is placed where you would like to store your remote.

 Week one – week three: lost the remote 4 times  Week three: Start of invention  Week three – week five: did not lose it.  The decrease of loses shows my invention is able to function in a positive way. I have stopped keeping track but I know that we have not lost the remote since Week 3. My family has kept it in one place at all times and has not had to rely on the Garmin.

 Target audience: males 25-45  Pitch my idea to cable providers such as: Cox, and Direct TV  Pitch my idea to electronic companies/stores such as: Amazon and Best Buy.  Pitch my ideas to game companies such as: Xbox and Wii  And if all else fails, sell it on eBay.
