We know that something amazing can happen, gradually but unmistakably in our Communities. It's not only about lower crime, or the creation of better retail outlets, or more families living in the Community, though we certainly appreciate all those things. It’s about discipled politicians working to support Civil Society and its cornerstone which is the Church. It’s about changing people and the very fabric of their communities. Not just inside churches, but in neighbourhoods, offices, theatres, and schools. Not just traditional people, religious people, or moral people, but also skeptical people, sophisticated people, spiritual people, broken and brilliant and irreligious people. This isn’t something that just happens when Christians come to save the Community. It happens when Christians come to love the Community. To become what we call a culture for the common good that will transform Civil Society and re-establish communities. That’s why we started a movement called the African Christian Democratic Party. We want to serve and participate in a growing network of leaders, prayer networks and churches, across denominations, who have the same kind of vision for their Community that we have.
