What could be some of the reasons people chose to live in this region or large city?  Maybe because it has major landforms and/or tourist attractions.

 Customs, religions, ethnic groups in region  Some customs are that they have great theatre's and museums. A few of the ethnic groups are Irish, Italian, and many eastern Europeans.  Identify and locate major resources major landforms -Coal, gravel, Iron, natural gas, oil, sand,stone, zinc, fruits, vegetables, poultry, cattle

 What effect does climate have on settlement patterns in the region?  The effects that the climate has on settlement patterns in the Northeast is that since it gets so cold in the winter people usually move away to somewhere warmer.  Describe climate and weather patterns. There are cool to hot summers and very cold winters. The yearly precipitation for the northeast region is about 46 inches in a year. That includes rain and snow. The average July temperature is 69 degrees F. The average January temperature is 21 degrees F.

 Detailed description of economic issues. Crude oil prices have been going up, especially for the Northeastern region. 55% is gasoline, the remaining 45% is taxes.  How has climate affected the settlement of the region? The climate has affected the settlement of the region because since it is so cold in the winter, most people don't tend to move to the northeast during the wintertime.  How has pollution affected the lives of the people in the region?  Pollution always affects people because it makes the region look dirty and not well-kept.

Identify why people have chosen to live where they have in the region.  People live in certain places in the northeast because of many things. Such as jobs, and weather. How are goods transported to, within and out of region  Mostly by highways, airports, and railways.

Something Unique in this region is that there are many landforms and/or famous tourist attractions.

 What economic impact does the region have on the U.S. economy?  The economic impact that this region has on the U.S. economy is not very major, since the region is so small. Not very many major economical issues happen in this region.
