Understanding Test Bias

What is test bias? Definition: A test which shows provable and systematic differences in the results of people based on group membership.

Cultural Bias? Testing bias is when a test favors students who understand particular concepts or have particular types of knowledge. An example would be a test that is all definitions.

How is this different from the concept of fairness?

What is test fairness? Fairness has to do with how a test is used. Fairness and bias are not the same thing. A biased test may be used fairly.
