How to Work Smarter, Not Harder Rising Stars Call 5

“You will never find time for anything. If you want time you must make it.” – Charles Buxton

 Wife  Mommy  Friend  Sister  Nurse to hubby or child  Taxi Driver  Full Time/Part time job  Bag Lady Extraordinaire

1. My Faith 2. My Family 3. My Personal Business 4. Team Business

 When setting office hours, think about team size, location, and your schedule  Communicate to them what to expect  Make sure they have realistic expectations  Stick to them, if you don’t your team won’t  Remember what we allow, we teach  Thirty-One hat comes OFF when office hours are over

Why does your personal business have to come before team business?

“Visualize a wagon wheel as a complete team. A leader might be the hub of the wheel at the center. Now suppose the spokes are the connecting relationships the leader is building with people on the outer rim of the wheel. If the hub is removed, then the entire wheel collapses. In a situation like that, if a team loses the leader, the entire team collapses.” -Coach K

Plan what you will do and do what you plan. Failing to plan is the same as planning to fail!

“Those who make the worst of their time most complain about its shortness.” – La Bruyere

What you DO, not what you INTEND to do makes you successful!

1. Shows (5 hrs) 2. Booking Shows (2 hrs) 3. Hostess Coaching (1 hr) 4. Recruiting Calls (1 hr) 5. Coaching Calls (as needed)

The key to using the 80/20 rule is to focus on the 20 percent who are presently producing while not forgetting the 80 percent who may produce in the future.

 When dealing with your team ALWAYS match effort with effort!  Not everyone deserves, wants, or needs equal time from you.  You cannot work her business more than she is willing to work it. You cannot make her want it and you cannot push someone UP a ladder.  Set phone appointments & you call them!!!  Understand that as you grow & promote your priorities will change and eventually you will shift to a heavier team business than personal.

 Management Monday  Team Building Tuesday  Welcome Call Wednesday  31 Minutes Thursday  Follow Up Friday

 Book smarter by booking at parties, saves you time on booking calls  Hire an assistant for non revenue jobs  Have your kids help, it teaches them a strong work ethic and Ashton really enjoys stamping and labeling my stuff!  Partner with your partner - Mike is VERY active doing things for my 31 business behind the scenes (tech stuff, helping around the house, kids, etc)

 Use an system and set it to autorespond (Constant Contact or Mail Chimp)  Calendar blocking is key (green shows, red family, etc)  The more you communicate with your team, the less time you spend answering questions  Point them to the answer and teach them to fish (TOT, s, etc)

 Focus on single tasking - you may be doing more than one thing at a time but are you doing them all well?  Be prepared for downtime/plan ahead  Look for holes in your daily/weekly schedule and find ways to fill them (carpool line, dr office, dance class, etc)  Bring the post office home  Eat your frog first each day

 8:00- Check downline while kids eat/answer questions if needed  1 til 3- Run downline, postcards, personal business, team business  3:15 til 3:45- Write out postcards, enter parties, hostess calls, etc while in carpool line  7-9 PM- Have parties or tend to personal/team business after bedtime

 Watch the video Do the Big Rocks First and me and your partner your big rocks and how you plan to prioritize your 31 business  Listen to Balancing Your 31 Business With a Busy Life by Wendy Dudley 3 big AHA’s and share with partner, director, and the FB group  Try out the time management file I shared or share what you use with the group  Think back on everything we have covered, what are your 3 biggest takeaways and how will they impact your business? SHARE
