2 Basic Seminar Rules Stay on Topic If we seem to be getting off track or too much is going on at once, then I will ask everyone to HOLD UP. That is your cue to stop typing so that we can refocus. If you lose audio (you can no longer hear me) wait for 1 or 2 minutes. Sometimes the server cuts me off and I need to log on a second time. If for some reason we get cut off for a longer period (5 minutes or more) then please go to “CHAT” on the course page where we will finish the seminar

3 Basic Seminar Rules (Cont’d) All seminars are recorded so that you can read and listen to the transcripts at another time. Remember your netiquette- respect everyone! You should prepare for live seminar ahead of time, by clicking on the seminar link under the unit.

28 The case of Scott Scott works in as a nursing assistant at a local long term care facility. He has recently returned to school to complete his Health Care degree. He has a wife, a teenager daughter in high school, a full- time job, and is the resident tennis coach for his homeowner’s association. Due to his busy schedule, Scott has decided to take classes online so he will be able to do his schoolwork from home. Scott is very nervous about his first online class, and, in particular, how he will navigate the online platform. He has plenty of experience surfing the Web and sending emails to his friends, but he is not sure that he will be able to effectively find everything he needs to be successful in his new virtual school. How can you help Scott feel more comfortable as he begins his educational journey at Kaplan University?
