BBC Children in Need Friday 18 th November

Why we do it We are a caring community We agree with the aims of the BBC who want every child in the UK to have a childhood which is: Safe Happy and Secure Allows them the chance to reach their potential

Where does the money go? On grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged. These are all local organisations... Both large and small. They improve children’s life chances and help them towards a happier and more successful future.

Allerton Grange’s contribution On Friday we want to raise as much money as we can for Children in Need. Our biggest fund-raiser is to have a non- uniform day... If everybody brings £1 we can send off £1500 immediately Every pound is important... That‘s why we need YOU to be sure to bring between £1 and £2...the money goes straight to support children in Britain who need help.

Collecting the money Please elect a cash monitor who will take in the money from every member of the form group Be ready to give the collected money to a Sixth Former who will come round before the end of tutorial – if that doesn’t happen, give the money straight to Mrs Ram If you have another fund-raising activity happening on Friday, be sure that a member of staff is directly involved and is with you at all times when you are collecting.

Thanks!! Allerton Grange is known for its community spirit and its concern. Thank you for your generosity. Let’s make this the most successful collection yet. Any questions to Mrs Ram We have a newly formed Charity group which meets on Wednesday after school in the cafe. They welcome new members.
