Children in Need

Children in need – since the first major campaign in 1980, a massive £790 million pounds has been raised. 100% of the money raised is used to benefit UK children. Our vision is that every child in the UK has a childhood which is: Safe Happy and Secure Allows them the chance to reach their potential https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HnII5o_cjgs

Although Children in Need is welcomed by a large proportion of the British public, there are some who offer an alternative view, that the portrayal of children, particularly disabled children, as victims is unfortunate and counter-productive. It is argued that a change in social attitudes will benefit the disadvantaged more than money and public sympathy. What do you think?

How many children under the age of 16 ran away from home each year in the UK? a.100 b. 1000 c. 10.000 d. 100.000

What is Gift Aid? Gift Aid is a scheme enabling registered charities to reclaim tax on a donation made by a UK taxpayer, effectively increasing the amount of the donation. "using Gift Aid means that the taxman will add 25p to every pound you give" If you raised £408 how much extra would the taxman add? What is the range?
