Cellular Respiration Chapter 2

What’s Cellular Respiration?  Food provides energy  Cells break down simple food molecules such as glucose and release the energy they contain.  “Cellular Respiration” --- Cells are bringing in food and releasing energy.  Oxygen is necessary for cellular respiration to occur.

Stages of Respiration  2 Stage Process --- Stage 1: Takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell. Stage 1: Takes place in the cytoplasm of the cell.
