WHAT IS PHOTOGRAPHY ——LIGHT Photography is the science, art and practice of creating durable images by recording light. Photography is an art of visual language.
TYPES OF LIGHT ( VISUAL ARTS ) Side light——Lighting is coming from the side of object. Back light——Behind the subject and directed at you and camera lens. Rim light——Comes in at an acute angle and create highlights along the edge. Ambient light——Non-direct soft light and often bounced from one surface to another. Soft/Diffuse light——Reduce contrast and minimizes shadow. Hard light——Direct light and often increase brightness and create strong shadow. Spotlight——particular light always with highlight spot. Artificial light——Works with studio flash units.
