MAJOR ELEMENTS OF SHOPPING MALLS 1.Parking lots (3-5 lots/store) 2.Entrances (maximum 50m to exit) 3.Emergencies exits (same as entrances) 4.Fire safety elements (fire hose and extinguisher every 50m) 5.Waiting areas (required both exterior and interior) 6.Guiding centers (multiple on each level) 7.Dining area or food court (one per mall)

MECHANICAL SYSTEMS Malls and shopping centers with multiple stories must have escalators and stairs. Elevators are optional but must be equipped for handicapped. All malls and shopping centers must be air conditioned. Open market should be shaded. Fire protection systems must be installed (sprinklers, smoke detectors, co detectors)
