How do I read a recipe? Discuss with your partner: What are the parts of a recipe? How is reading a recipe different from reading a story or a report?

Parts of a Recipe Title - explains the recipe you are making Servings - tells how many people the recipe will serve List of ingredients - food/material needed to make the recipe; listed at the beginning of the recipe Directions - step by step explanation of what needs to be done in the recipe Time: Prep time-how long it will take to prepare Baking time- how long it needs to be baked
