4 Mission Our mission is to inspire young students locally and internationally to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) by teaching STEM concepts through hands-on activities.

12 Local Project Clayton Elementary School in Austin, TX Saturday, 27 April 2013 Stirling Engines, Wind Turbines, DC Motors At least 20 young students have signed up for the event

13 Challenges Faced by Local Project Dialogue with schools and finding the right person to talk to Battling the STAAR (TAKS) tests for time slots Modifying the activities from one week to a half day

 Are you interested in learning about engines and how they create power from a heat source?  Ever wonder what those giant propellers blowing in the wind in west Texas are for?  Come out to this Saturday’s event to learn the answers to the above questions. You will work with a Stirling engine, build a wind turbine, and discover how they create electricity! Engineering students from Texas A&M University will be at Clayton Elementary on Saturday, 27 April 2013 to inspire future STEM leaders. Activities begin at 9am and will last until noon. Saturday, 27 April am-12pm
