Problems Encountered I have written articles in The Analog asking for membership feedback on their participation in K-12 activities. I have not been successful in getting feedback. I am going to take a more active role in obtaining this information starting with our section leaders.

What have I learned? There are many activities and programs to encourage K-12 STEM education. Many of these programs are adequately funded. Most of the adult participants are educators. We are not a profit making organization. We are a people organization. These organizations need engineering and science mentors and volunteers. The best way for us to help is to volunteer.

Plans My Plan for this year is
To work with Discover Engineering to build their database of volunteers To continue participating with Future City as a judge To attend a few of the many STEM events to look for opportunities where our membership can serve And to add a K-12 activities page to our web-site with information about upcoming events Notes:

QUESTIONS??? Thanks If you’d like to learn more about electronic services, you’ll want to attend the session on the Electronic Services being presented this afternoon by Christian Borgert (BORE-GERT) and Chip Dawson. If you miss this afternoon’s session, you can see it tomorrow morning. Now I’d like to answer your questions about newsletters and electronic services (After Q&A) I’m sorry we don’t have time to answer all of your questions, but we have an abundance of expertise with us this weekend, and much of it is in the Computer Lab upstairs. Stop by and get more information anytime.
