WHAT IS STRESS? Stress is often a factor of development of long term sickness. Stress is a normal physical response to events that make you feel threatened or upset your balance in some way.

STRESS CONT….. Eg: When we prepare for placement,we start it form the 3 rd year itself. But it is a long term pressure The solution is that though it is useful preparation now we should have started it from the first year itself. Then it will not be the preparation with pressure it will become consistent preparation without pressure.

STRESS AT WORKPLACE While some workplace stress is normal We can’t manage everything in your working environment That doesn’t mean your not having knowledge Even when your in a difficult situation “Layoffs” and “budget cuts” have become bywords in the workplace

STRESS AT WORK PLACE CONT….. LAYOFF: Making people unemployment because there is no more for them to do. BUDGET CUTS: Reducing budget expenditures. The result is increased higher level of stress

CAUSES OF STRESS Fear, intermittent or continuous. Threats:physicalthreats, socialthreats, financialthreat, othert hreats. Uncertainty. Lack of sleep. Somebody misunderstands you. Setback to your position in society

PROBLEMS IN STRESS If you can’t sign of work stress, they can lead you a bigger problem Beyond interfering with job performance and satisfaction, can also leads to a physical and emotional health problems, such as Headache, Heart disease, asthma, obesity, diabetes.

STEPS TO REDUCE STRESS Taking responsibility: -Taking responsibility for improving physical and emotional health problems. Avoiding pitfalls: -PITFALL means Even though the action will lead to some problem we will continue to perform it that’s called as pitfalls. So it’ll lead stress. -so avoid pitfall is very much important

OTHER STEPS ARE…. Learning better communication skills Meditation: Picture yourself relaxed Breathe deeply

CONCLUSION Stress is impossible to avoid in life. Stress is something we can’t avoid, but we can limit the impact of stressful situations, that are presented, by being healthy, managing our time, and escaping from our everyday routine.
