INFuture 2013 Interactive Application for Learning the Latin Language

What? The interactive application for learning the Latin language Joint project: o Multimedia Knowledge Presentation o Computer Assisted Teaching o Service Learning

Why? To foster learning To motivate

...and because Latin is not a dead language part of culture in general o sayings root of many other languages: o English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, etc. the basis for terminology in various fields o medicine, law, biology, agriculture, etc.

What is the goal? To improve student learning

For Whom? High school students All grammar schools in Croatia Grade levels: 1 and 2 (9 & 10)

Research - Fifth Grammar School in Zagreb - Collaboration with the subject teacher - 2 sections - Experimental and control group - 62 students - Blinded experiment

Hypothesis The multimedia application helps students learn the material and evokes more enthusiasm among students who learn Latin.

Results Short knowledge assessment o 19 questions o experimental and control group - who will be more successful?
