Blockade Runners Blockade Runners are low lying ships painted gray or black to slip buy the Union blockades to get supply to General Lee and his army.

The Most Famous Blockade Runners The most famous Blockade Runners were advance owned by North Carolina.

How did they get the supply ? They got the supply form British ports

What kind of supplies did they have? The supply that they had was, ammunition, boots, guns, food,gun powder, water, and uniforms.

How far did they have to travel? To get the supply to general Lee They had to travel 1,000 miles of coastline.

What did they do after they got the supply? After they got the supply general Lee ordered the blockade runners to attack Washington. So when the Union found out the blockades moved up North to help. But what they didn’t
