Summary  Onsite usability tests were conducted on November 9th, 2009 on Wordpress/ u/ckaraffa, u/ckaraffa my e-Portfolio website.  Four individuals participated in the test.  Participant’s provided feedback and recommendations.

Ease in Finding Information  100% agreed it was easy to find the welcome video  86% found it easy to find all blogs about technology  80% found it easy to find my resume  76% found it easy for overall home page thoughts, even though only  25% were able to find the home page

Overall Ratings  100% strongly agreed that the content of entire website was appealing  90% agreed that the website was easy to use  86% agreed that the website was well organized  80% agreed that you could obtain the information quickly on the website  66% agreed that the homepage content was appealing

Participants’ Liked the most:  The pictures really made the blog, and engaged the user  The tags  The different categories  The added visuals: videos, and pictures  The topics were interesting  The blogs were self- explanatory

Participants’ liked the least:  Not knowing what and where the “home” page was  Too many words in the first blog, needed a picture  First look was not visually interesting  All different categories went to same blog, very confusing  “Without comment” at top of blog, was confusing  Not knowing that the right side was part of the blog

Recommended Changes ChangesJustification Add “Home” button or page 75% could not find the home page Add photo to the first blog 100% thought first blog needed a photo to make it eye pleasing and more exciting Add color to the website 50% suggested adding color to make website more appealing to the eye Change word in “Welcome” page to something other than welcome 25% of the participants believed that there were too many “welcomes” in the “Welcome” page Add personal photo on top 50% suggested personal photo at the top of the page Move menu to the let side of site 25% stated that usually the right side was filled with ads in other websites Show face in the video 50% suggested that the face of the website owner be seen in the video

Modification to the Website  Add a “home” button or page  Add a photo to the first blog  Add some color to the website  Change the word on the “Welcome” page to something other than welcome  Add a personal photo of myself on top

Recommendations That Won’t be Implemented  Moving the menu to the left side of the site. I feel that was one person’s point of view.  Show my face in the video. I like the way it came out.

Conclusion  Most participants could obtain information quickly.  Website was well organized.  Website was easy to use.  The photos were eye pleasing.  The tags and categories are are used often.  Changes include: add “home” page, photo to first blog, color, and change the “Welcome” page.
