Bartex AFIS 2000 Overview DACTYLOSCOPY The scientific analysis of fingerprints by fingerprint experts has been involved with law enforcement for over a hundred years. Recent advances in dactyloscopy have continued to make fingerprint analysis of key importance (i.e., new methods such as obtaining latent prints off underwater surfaces, skin, etc.).
