WHO ARE WE? Group of 20+ students, teachers, administrators and parents. First Green Team Meeting – April 2008 We meet every week at lunch to plan projects.

WHY HAVE WE FORMED THE GREEN TEAM? Mission: To make Paly environmentally friendly. Potential for making changes and empowering students O

First Projects Recycling at Paly Football Games

BAY AREA BIKE TO WORK DAY May 15, 2008: Organized first Energizer Stations at Paly. Green Team members staffed tables handing out information and snacks to over 200 cyclists.

Current Projects Classroom recycling pilot with 18 teachers

Current Projects Additional bike racks 500+ students bike to school – 20% increase

Upcoming Projects Reusable water bottles Implement campus wide recycling program Fundraiser for Green Team Promote use of reusable water bottles Reduce plastic water bottles on campus

What’s Next ? Promote biking, walking, transit Plastic bag reduction Reduce energy use (heating & air conditioning) Education on waste, signs, and recycling bins Get word out (in-focus, school newspapers, school magazines) Junk mail reduction Reusable water bottles Roll-sheets wireless (Already done!)
