7 Proposal to charge for single use plastic bags – Establish partnership with 5 or 6 grocery and fast food chains – Voluntary charge (25c) with half the income returned to the campaign – Public education campaign in advance … POS staff education and materials in support – Lobby government to ban other sources of plastic pollution (e.g. styrofoam) Plastic Bag Campaign

10 Earth Hour/Earth Day Volunteer support needed: Events - Spring 1.EH celebration March 30 2.EDN “a billion acts of green” campaign 3.Earth Day student video competition Entertainment Advertising and Promotion Exhibitors and food vendors Education Fundraising Promotion Web development Content management Mentoring of student teams. Competition coordination and management Ongoing technical support, particularly for the final presentations.
