According to IBAMA (2009), data from 2007: Brazil's fisheries production: 1,090,000 tons Brazil's aquaculture production: 290,000 t (25.55% from total fisheries) Brazil's freshwater aquaculture production: 210,000 t (72% from total aquaculture) Brazil's mariculture production: 80,000 t (28% from total aquaculture) Brazilian Aquaculture
