Come to Australia People and Animals The kangaroo has got a long tail, short front legs and a big pouch. In the pouch there’s a baby kangaraoo! It’s called a ‘joey’. This is a boomerang. The first in habitants of Australia, called aborigines, used this to hunt. Now they are just for fun! The aboriginal culture represents nature. They have a traditional instrument called the didgeridoo. The koala lives in the forest. Its name is an aborigine word, it means ‘no water’. Koalas don’t drink, but they eat lots of eucalyptus leaves! Koalas sleep for about 18 hours a day!

Come to Australia Geography Sydney is a big multiculural city. This is the famous opera house. Come to Australia Geography Uluru (Ayres Rock) is a magnificent rock which changes colour during the day. It’s pink, orange, red, brown....
