Present action or condition that occurs now Beth laughs loudly. She is loud.

Past shows an action that was completed in the past Add –ed Tom scored a run in the baseball game.

Future shows an action that will occur in the future use helping verbs will or shall with a verb I will attend the birthday party.

3 Progressive Tenses shows an action or condition that is in progress –present progressive –past progressive –future progressive

Present Progressive use helping verbs such as is, am, are, etc. add –ing to the verb Matt is eating an ice cream cone.

Past Progressive use helping verbs such as was and were add –ing to the verb I was fishing with my brother.

Future Progressive use “will be” or “shall be” add –ing to the verb Adam will be giving flowers to his mother on Valentine’s Day.
