3 Use PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE We use present continuous to describe: An action happening (in progress*) at the moment of speaking I am writing a letter (at this moment). An action happening now, but not necessarily at the moment of speaking I'm teaching Dutch in Arnhem (this year). A plan in the near future (* the time must be mentioned) I’m having a party this weekend (not now).
