Arrival Procedures Wait quietly at the computer lab door for the teacher. Do not cut through the library to the computer lab unless you are accompanied by a teacher. When permitted, walk to your assigned computer without talking. Sit down and wait for instructions. Once you are seated, please keep your hands to yourself. Your hands should not be on the keyboard or the mouse.

Seat Assignments Each student will be assigned to a computer. Please go to that computer each time you arrive in lab. The number is located on the computer.

Food – Gum - Drinks Food, Gum, Candy and Drinks are not allowed in the computer lab. These items can damage the computers. Please respect the equipment in the computer lab by not bringing any of these items. X X X

While you are working: Stay in your assigned seat. Keep your eyes on your own screen. Keep your hands to yourself. Raise your hand when you need help. Ask the teacher before you print anything.

Student Behaviors If you are not following directions, your consequences are as follows: Warning #1: Verbal warning, 1 st check mark. Warning #2: Loss of computer time, 2 nd check mark. Warning # 3 Report to your teacher. I expect good behavior in the computer lab. If you do a good job in here, I will report this to your classroom teacher.

Restroom Breaks Bathroom breaks should be taken before you arrive in computer lab. However, if you must go during this time, please raise your hand with two fingers up. This will let me know that you need to use the restroom. Please take restroom pass. Only one student out at a time. There is one pass for the boys and one for the girls. Restroom breaks will not be allowed when the teacher is giving instructions for the day.

Please Be Patient! R emember there is only one of me and over 20 of you, so Please BE PATIENT with the lab teacher. I f you have a question, please raise your hand and wait quietly for the teacher to respond.

Internet and Computer Rules Only visit approved internet sites and only when you have permission to do so. Never give out your personal information (this includes your name, address, and phone number) Do not change or move icons on the screen or change the computer background. Dismissal Procedures Sign off of the computer Put headphones back on computer screen or placed nicely next to the computer. Sit quietly and wait to be dismissed. Make sure you leave your workstation as you found it. Your area should be neat. Push in your chair and quietly line up.
