What is Excel? Excel is an electronic spreadsheet application What is Excel used for? To store/calculate/display data A spreadsheet is made up of columns and rows of data. What is in an Excel file (*.xls)? An Excel file can be referred to as a book of worksheets What is a Worksheet? A worksheet i s a table made up of cells that are referenced by row and column What is a cell? This is where you input/calculate/display your data. At the completion of the exercises you will be able to create functional spreadsheets to assist you in performing your daily tasks.
