Cyber Safety and Digital Citizenship Keeping kids safe from harm

What is cyber safety? n Being cyber safe is ensuring that you and your child are protected from harm through cyber (computer) threats. What is digital citizenship ? n Digital citizenship is how we treat others and want to be treated online.

How can I protect my child? n Keep the computer in a safe place that you can monitor. n Set rules and follow through with them. n Remember: Children can be very gullible and vulnerable. Be aware of what your child is doing online. n Talk to them! Age appropriately share the dangers!

How can I show my digital citizenship? n Be safe and responsible when using technology and encourage and teach your children to do the same.
