Class Leader Mr. Athan

Definition  An agreement of Behavior Goal  A self managing group

 Take the place of consequences or procedures.  Consequences are clearly defined and included with the Social Contract

 How many of you get tired of your teachers nagging you and telling you what to do?

 “I am not going to do that because you are all mature young adults.”  “This is YOUR class, so you are going to decide how we treat each other, AND  YOU are going to help each other, AND  I don’t have to get involved, there will be no consequences!”

 Being able to work in a team is the number one quality that employers look for when hiring.  Why not start practicing that NOW?

 Cooperation  Hard Work  Compromise  Dedication  Discipline  Communication  Encouragement  Accountability

1. How do you want to be treated by me (leader)? 2. How do you want to be treated by each other? 3. How do you think I (leader) want to be treated by you? 4. How do we want to treat each other when there is conflict?

Signal Leader uses with the group Thumbs Up Class will respond in silence with Thumbs Up on both hands

For Disrespect 1. Excuse me…Who are you speaking to? 2. How are you supposed to be speaking to ____? 3. Were you talking that way? 4. How are you going to talk to ______? 5.
