California State University, Los Angeles The university was founded in It is one of 23 campuses of the CSU system. Our 175-acre hilltop campus is located 5 miles east of Los Angeles along side of the San Bernardino Freeway.

California State University, Los Angeles Six colleges that incorporate 50 academic departments and divisions offering a variety of majors. We have an annual enrollment of 21,000+ students and granted degrees to more than 160,000 graduates. The University is one of the most ethnically diverse universities in the nation.

Cal State LA Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Services It is the only rehabilitation services baccalaureate program offered in the entire State of California. There is a total of 60 rehabilitation services programs throughout the United States.

What is Rehabilitation Services? It is a diverse field within the general area of human services that provides services for people who have physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities, and for individuals with economic and social disadvantages. Our BS degree provides a liberal arts education combined with a basic understanding of the various aspects of disabilities.

Program Mission The mission is to prepare students to: be able to address the needs of individuals with disabilities and maximize their rehabilitation potential function effectively as professional rehabilitation service providers in a variety of employment settings

Program Objectives Students will develop effective skills and techniques be able to apply the concepts of occupationally significant characteristics and transferable skills recognize the richness and uniqueness of culturally diverse populations provide equitable services to all individuals

Current Program Status ● Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services requires a total of 180 ( in the major) units. ● Student population ● Major ~ 110 students ● Minor ~ 20 students
