20  Teacher Preparation Pipeline STEM/CTE group recommended  Accepted as major in Teacher Credentialing Program  Fewer math and sciences courses are required  In July, elementary teachers will be required to have 8 courses in Child Development to teach Transitional Kindergarten; this requirement may be extended to all elementary grades (K-2)  CD courses prepare students for upper-division courses.
