Both England and France wanted control over the Ohio River Valley because of the profitable fur trade there England and France Ben Franklin’s plan to unite all 13 colonies under 1 representative government – plan failed because colonies were not willing to give up their individual power

4. Explain the Treaty of Paris. Treaty of Paris, 1763 Ended the French and Indian War France ceded (gave) its territory to Great Britain (including Canada) Spain ceded Florida to Britain, Britain for lands west of Mississippi River
