2 M-Commerce  Definition "Mobile Commerce is any business transaction, which is initiated by using a mobile device, such as mobile phone”. It is the buying and selling of goods and services through wireless handheld devices such as cellular telephone or Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs) or palmtop or a pocket PC.  Wwww  Add one more w = Wireless World Wide Web  Mobility is one of the key factors which help business thrive. 3 How it applies to consumers  Mobile commerce or ‘m-commerce’ is part of the shift of technology into mainstream business and everyday life. It is the use of handheld wireless devices such as mobile phones and palm pilots to communicate, interact and transact via high-speed connection to the internet.  Consumers will be able to access the wireless World Wide Web (wWWW) via a mobile ‘always on’ connection facilitating access to valuable information and the entry into fast and efficient commercial transactions. 5 M-commerce will overtake wired lines  As content delivery over wireless devices becomes faster, more secure, and scalable, there is a possibility that m-commerce will surpass wire-line e-commerce as the method of choice for digital commerce transactions E.g.
