Procedures for Announcements Announcements begin with music playing over the intercom system Students Must be quiet during announcements (while sitting & eating breakfast) Students must stand during the pledges Students in transition should stop near the closest open door way where they can hear the announcements Pledges include the Pledge of Allegiance, Honor the Texas Flag, and Character Counts Pledge Teachers need to model appropriate behavior during announcements.

Planners – Best tool ever! First copy is free. Lose it? Replacement cost is $5.00. Get a copy from office until replaced. What is it for? – When you leave class, take it with you – people will know you are doing the right thing! – Get it signed by a parent every Friday, that way your mom and dad know what is going on at school! – Goals and Homework are written in the planner! – PE checks and Office referrals get stapled in the planner! – If the teacher signs your planner for misbehavior, your parent has to sign your planner that day. All red signatures have to be signed daily.

Using Planners If planner is not signed, students will get write up and the loss of free play. Excessive planner signatures for misbehavior should result in office referral. When sent to redirect, they will note in your planner that you were there. PLANNERS ARE IMPORTANT!

Badges You will receive a Photo ID badge that makes you official! It must be worn at all times at school. Badges should be worn high on the right side of the shirt. Badges are left at school at the end of each day. Badges are used in the cafeteria and in the Library. If you don’t have a badge you will go the end of the line. If your badge is lost or destroyed (for any reason) you must pay to replace them. A new one will cost $5.00. – You will receive two reminders in your planner to bring money for a new one after that consequences will start

Consequences Planner signatures Lunch Detention for misbehavior – only the Principal or Assistant Principal can assign Lunch Detention for not doing homework Missing fun activities like games, parties, movies. Withdrawal of privileges Office referrals are sent home and must be signed.

Spirit Contest School Pride! Team Pride! GAME ON! – Homerooms will compete and the homeroom with the best percentage of participation will win the spirit stick. – Winning Homerooms will get to go to the front of the line at lunch for the entire next week.
