 Afterlife was very important for Egyptians.  A lot of their lifetime activities were linked to afterlife! AFTERLIFE

 They believed in the land of two fields.  Osiris let the soul into the after world.  But the heart of the dead had to be light enough to go on Ra’s board.  For a soul’s heart to be light, they had to do good deeds in their life. AFTERLIFE

AFTERLIFE(CONTINUED )  They believed that the soul split into two. One half would enjoy afterlife and the other half would go and watch over their family.

EGYPTIAN GODS  Egyptian worshiped over 2000 gods.

 Isis was the wife of Osiris. And the mother of Horus. All Pharaohs were considered to be a living form of Horus.  She wore a headdress of throne, horns of a cow and had a sun disc.  She helped people in need with her magical powers. ISIS

 Ra had a hawk head and wore the headdress of sun disc on his head.  He was the most important ancient Egyptian god.  Egyptian believed that Ra was swallowed every night by the sky Goddess Nut and was reborn every morning. RA
