created the world from a watery chaos commonly depicted as a hawk-headed man with the solar disc on his head many pharaohs worshipped him

4 Amun also a sun god, king of gods linked to Ra
originally worshipped locally in Thebes grew to become a national deity generations of pharaohs adopted as patron deity Tutankhamun

5 Osiris ruler of the underworld among the most important Egyptian gods
still celebrated in festivals dedicated to him brought agriculture to Egypt taught the people how to farm and harvest grain murdered by his brother made whole again by his wife

6 Isis wife of Osiris goddess of magic Mother of Horus
most important of the Egyptian goddesses spread the farthest, as far as Europe and Persia watching over the pharaoh and the throne grew to include queen of the underworld and agriculture

7 Horus sky god man with the head of a falcon
associated with the sun god Ra dutiful son of Osiris when Set murdered Osiris, Horus avenged his father and killed Set leads the deceased to the underworld
