Today’s Objectives Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of urban development and Smart Growth by  Completing a graphic organizer  Examining motivations for Smart Growth  Reimagining a neighborhood by creating their own city plan  Completing an HSA aligned exit ticket

How do we try to make cities livable? One major way is by zoning properties. Zoning laws are regulations that state where homes and businesses can be located Zoning is a powerful tool that can be used to control reckless use of land and encourage growth
