Educational Services Division Vice Chancellor of Educational Services and Institutional Effectiveness Districtwide duties include but not limited to: supervision of 17 Ed. Services Department staff integrated and strategic planning & chair districtwide planning committees/work groups academic calendar development Curriculum and coordination of districtwide curriculum process accreditation liaison oversee the allocation of federal Carl Perkins Act funds, grant implementation, and reporting. Career & Technical Education (CTE)Grant Project Director 2

Educational Services Divisions Grants The Grants Office provides service to the State Center Community College District campuses in all phases of their grant writing efforts to obtain external funding for college/center programs and services Provides training to campus grant project directors Serves as a resource to the district and campuses in grant resource development 6

Educational Services Divisions Research Supports districtwide strategic and integrated planning data needs Provides districtwide research services as requested Supports district reporting to state and federal agencies Supports data needs for grant development and reporting 7

Educational Services Division Training Institute Training Institute provides skilled-based training that leads to employment, employee advancement, increased productivity, and performance optimization Training Institute programs are fee-based for career growth and professional development, and are not for college credit Some of the training programs provided are career and professional development, continuing education, online education and corporate training 8

Educational Services Divisions State Center Consortium State Center Consortium is a grant funded entity of State Center Community College District (SCCCD) primary grant funds are acquired through the California Department of Education and the California Community College Chancellor's Office. SCC provides services related to Career Technical Education (CTE) addressing K- 12 and community college systems coordinates a variety of professional development events including instructional workshops, collaboration meetings, and industry partnering through job shadowing activities 9

Educational Services Divisions State Center Consortium The State Center Consortium (SCC) Advisory Committee consists of partners from regional K-12 school districts, community colleges, state colleges, and businesses. This committee approves and supports SCC events and activities Bridging Education and Industry Sectors promote the development of Career Technical Education (CTE) across the Central Valley, in conjunction with SCCCD Colleges and Education Centers, by fostering collaboration among area school districts, regional colleges, and business partners through course articulation, curriculum enhancement, and professional development for CTE educators, thereby facilitating successful preparation of CTE students for post-secondary completion and workforce readiness. 10

Educational Services Divisions Center for International Trade Development (CITD) The mission of the CITD is to increase the level of international trade activity throughout California, fostering development and expansion of the state’s economy dozens of companies participate in Fresno CITD organized trade missions to a variety of international destinations assists the State of California and other agencies by initiating joint projects, researching industries, and targeting foreign markets CITD organizes and conducts training workshops, seminars, and other professional educational programs focused on international trade issues a member of the statewide Centers for International Trade Development through the Economic & Workforce Development Program’s International Trade Initiative 11

Educational Services Divisions International Education The DistrictWide International Education Program is coordinated through the office of the Vice Chancellor of Educational Services and Institutional Effectiveness Faculty involvement is key to international education programming and a faculty advisory committee meets to provide programmatic input. The following are our International Education Programs: Faculty Exchange Program Study Abroad Program proposal process for New Study Abroad Program CITD Grant Funds for International Education and Faculty Development Projects process 12

Educational Services Divisions Westside Training Initiative project oversight provided by Ed. Services provides not for credit instruction in basic skills education and entry level employment classes General Education Diploma (GED), Office Prep, High Speed Rail test prep… Instruction provided in partnership with Fresno Learn to Earn, Catholic Charities, Fresno Rescue Mission and Economic Opportunity Commission (EOC) 13
