HIV – Human Immunodefiency Virus A virus that cannot be cured HIV infects about 0.6% of the world's population Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of blood, semen, vaginal fluid, pre-ejaculate, or breast milk. HIV is harmless until it becomes AIDS

AIDS – Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome Derived from HIV AIDS attacks the immune system, and does not allow the body to recover from any infections or viruses. AIDS is caused from HIV and therefore received through any exchange of blood, semen, breast milk, vaginal fluid or anal mucosa. In 2007, it was estimated that 33.2 million people lived with the disease worldwide, and that AIDS killed an estimated 2.1 million people, including 330,000 children

PERSONAL SAFETY/INJURY PREVENTION Name some risk-taking behaviors' that you partake in. (I.e. hitchhiking) What are some signs that violence may occur in a relationship? What are some positive characteristics' of a health relationship?
