Climate of the Southeast Title

Climate of the Southeast This region has a subtropical climate. This means that the weather is usually humid and hot with a lot of rainfall.

Seasons The Southeast United States experiences all four seasons (Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall).

Temperature In 2012 the average temperatures for the Southeast Region were: Winter degrees Fahrenheit Spring degrees Fahrenheit Summer degrees Fahrenheit Fall degrees Fahrenheit

Rainfall Another word for rainfall is precipitation The southeast region experiences a lot of rainfall. In 2012 the Southeast region overall received 47.25” of rain! This was 2.91” below their average rainfall.

Tornado Tornadoes tend to occur in Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana. The tornado season is from March- May. April being the strongest month. There is also a peak in tornadoes during November and February.

Hurricanes Hurricane season is from June 1 st to November 30 th. All coastal states of this region can experience hurricanes.
