average temperature of 63°F although there are extremes
Precipitation – snow, sleet, rain, and hail all fall in SC, but rain is the most common
average rainfall for SC is 49 inches per year
wettest months are March through August because of the many thunderstorms
droughts usually occur during late spring and summer

Thunderstorms can produce strong winds, hail, severe lightning, and tornadoes
Hurricanes also strike SC
Hugo was the last major hurricane to hit SC
