Kentucky Sugar Cane Due to the weather condition in Kentucky, it is very unlikely that sugar cane can be grown successfully. The weather conditions are the main cause of the lack of sugar plantations in Kentucky to date. Sugar cane is grown mainly in Florida and Louisiana, and much more successfully in the Caribbean and in Brazil. copyright eStudy.us 2008
